On 8 September 2022, the head of the department “Museum Street” of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sagirova G. Yu. held an event on “Terrorism is evil” for the teenagers and youth of Spassky municipal district of RT.
During the event, the participants became acquainted with the history of emergence of terrorism, which goes back to the depths of centuries. The first terrorist acts originated in ancient Judea and modern Iran. The participants learned what terrorism, extremism is, and what categories it is divided into; about terrorist acts that occurred not only on the territory of our country, but also around the world in different years. International terrorism and extremism is a geopolitical problem of our time. Extremist and terrorist organizations engage young people and actively use them in their political interests. The most dangerous age from the point of view of joining extremist organizations is 14 to 22 years old.
At the event, teenagers answered the questions, played the training game “We are all alike in some way”. At the end, each participant received the memo and brochures “Prevention of terrorism and extremism” where all possible options for protection against extremism are listed.
Activities to prevent terrorist and extremist activities help to bring adolescents together with young people and strengthen the moral climate in them.
