On 22-23 July 2022, II International ethnocultural festival “Aga Bazar” took place on the territory of Bolgar Museum-Reserve. Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation T. P. Larionova, the Head of Spassky municipal district of Tatarstan F. V. Mukhametov and Director of the State Budget Organization “Resource Center for the introduction of innovations and preservation of traditions in the sphere of culture of RT” A.R. Miftakhova greeted the participants of the Festival on July 22.
“Aga Bazar” brought together on its site the creative teams, solo performers and instrumentalists popularizing folk culture. Unique handmade products, arts and crafts items from the best masters of the republic and regions of Russia were presented there. Everyone was able to take part in interactive programs and training seminars telling about the history of ethnic culture in various fields: music, clothing and traditional cuisine.
At the site “CHIREM”, a village of folk medicine experts of the Volga region was presented. Experts in folk medicine told about medicinal herbs, the traditions of Tatar tea drinking, proportions and procedures for brewing tea of Turkic, Finno-Ugric and Slavic peoples.
At the festival, the game field “UEN FEST” was organized especially for the youngest participants. Children shot with a bow and passed the straw maze. The sites with master classes, board and intellectual games were functioning for the lovers of less active activities.
The ethno-cultural festival was decorated by the music of professional and amateur groups of the Tatar folklore festival “Iske Kazan tugerek uyeny”.
The central site of the festival was a stylized medieval Bulgar market “AGA BAZAR” where there were trade rows with unique handmade goods, as well as thematic platforms, craft workshops with creative classes in arts and crafts.
The artists of a creative association “IsTElek” participated in the evening concert program. Folk-fusion compositions and different genres of electronic music in symbiosis with an ethnic component sounded there. The headliners of the festival were Zholdasbek ABDIKHANOV from Kazakhstan and Aleks Ataman.
In the evening, the participants and guests of the festival could visit the open-air cinema and watch the feature film “Vodyanaya” created on the basis of Tatar mythology.
