On 13 June 2022, staff members of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Hramova G. K. and Sagirova G. Yu. within the project “Pushkin’s card” held an interactive-entertaining event on “Hello, sunny summer!” for children visiting a school camp of the village Kuznechiha.
Children visited museums where in interactive-knowledge way they became acquainted with the history and culture of Spassky uyezd of Kazan Governorate and the creativity of a Tatar children’s writer Abdulla Alish.
In the museum “Nobility of Spassky uyezd”, kids saw exhibits of famous noble families – nationals of our region, the interior of noble estates and outbuildings. In the museum “The town on the river”, schoolchildren learned the history of Spassk, knew how shipping on Volga developed, saw old fishing hooks and gear. In the museum of Abdulla Alish, children became familiar with the exposition devoted to life, work and military feat of a Tatar children’s author Abdulla Alish (1908-1944). In the museum “Bolgar tea party”, there was a varied program of entertainment prepared for kids. Children with great interest played “Lotto” – an old board game. They had a master class in painting gingerbread. It is a very interesting and captivating creative process, in which kids actively participated.
At the end, the guests of the museum had a gastronomic master class where they learned about a recipe and tradition of serving of one of the oldest dishes of Tatar cuisine – “Bal-mai”. Children listened to the secrets and instruction on preparing this special treat, tasted bal-mai with fresh bread and drank Bolgar herbal tea.
