On 6 June 2022, a staff member of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Hramova G. K. held a knowledge event on “Reading Pushkin’s lines” devoted to the Russian Language Day. The activity was held for children visiting a school camp of Bolgar comprehensive school №2.
Children visited museums where in interactive-knowledge way they became acquainted with the history and culture of Spassky uyezd of Kazan Governorate and the creativity of a Great Russian poet A. S. Pushkin.
In the museum “Nobility of Spassky uyezd”, kids saw exhibits of famous noble families – nationals of our region, the interior of noble estates and outbuildings. In the museum “The town on the river”, schoolchildren learned the history of Spassk, knew how shipping on Volga developed, saw old fishing hooks and gear. In the museum of Abdulla Alish, children became familiar with the exposition devoted to life, work and military feat of a Tatar children’s author Abdulla Alish (1908-1944). In the museum “Bolgar tea party”, kids learned the biography and work of a Great Russian poet A. S. Pushkin. A lovely story “The Tale of the Fisherman and the fish” was read for children. At the end, there was a quiz on knowledge of fairytale characters of Pushkin’s stories.
The participants of the event touched the history of the native land, showed their knowledge on literature and received a lot of positive emotions and gifts – books from the museum-reserve.
