On May 25, 2022, I.D. Muhametshin, a research associate of Bolgar Museum-Reserve, made a presentation of the walking route “The town of my youth” for members of the Guild of Tour Operators of Tatarstan.
Visitors who come to our town, as a rule, visit the ancient town of Bolgar. Modern Bolgar (former Kuibyshev) is left aside. Meanwhile, the town has a lot to show. These are ancient buildings transferred from the old town, beautiful parks and springs. The potential of Bolgar allows to organize both pedestrian routes and long routes with the movement by car.
The introduction to the town begins on the central square where various events are held, and social life is in full swing. Young people and adults like to gather here as well. Near the town park, there is a monument to revolutionaries with an amazing story. It reflects all the difficult history of our region. The route ends on the territory of small hospital town where the listeners can acquaint themselves with our outstanding fellow countrymen. The tour allows to feel the atmosphere of the Soviet era, in which our town developed.
