On 25 May 2022, N.O. Ahundov, an employee of Bolgar Museum-Reserve, held an interactive event on “Journey into the past” for the schoolchildren from Izhevsk.
“Journey into the past” is a thematic event to promote and develop youth interest in culture and history. Children immersed themselves in the space of historical reconstruction of ancient Bolgar. The participants sensed the unique atmosphere of different epochs, feeling themselves involved in the events of the distant past, which motivates children to study the history of their home country. In the process of the interactive, schoolchildren became acquainted with the peculiarities of traditional ways of life, handicraft techniques, pottery and art workshops, trying their hand at creating their own souvenir as a memento.
