On 6 May 2022, staff members of the museum-educational department of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Bitunova Yu. A. and Sabirzyanova L. I. held an information lesson on “Great and eternal feat” for the students of Bolgar comprehensive school №1.
On 9 May, Russia celebrates a national holiday – Victory Day in the Great Patriotic war of 1941-1945, in which soviet people fought for freedom and independence of the Motherland against fascist Germany and its allies. In hostilities, which lasted almost four years and became the largest armed confrontation in human history, from eight to thirteen million people from both sides fought in different periods of war at the same time; from seven to twenty thousand planes, from six to twenty thousand tanks and assault guns were used. 9 May by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR was declared the Day of Victory over fascist Germany and the “day of a nationwide holiday”.
During the event, children learned interesting facts about the most important stages of the Great Patriotic war of 1941-1945, about our compatriots and their heroic deeds, and looked at the heroes’ pictures.
