On May 4, 2022, an employee of the department “Museum Street” of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sagirova L.S. held an interactive event on “Journey into the world of Tukay” for the students of Bolgar secondary school № 1. The event was devoted to the birthday of G. Tukay.
Gabdulla Tukay was the most famous figure of Tatarstan. This amazing man had many talents that is why he successfully combined such areas as prose and poetry. Besides, Tukay was deservedly called a critic and a professional translator.
The writer’s life was not easy since he was a baby when he lost his father and soon lost his mother. Gabdulla’s stepfather left him in the family of his grandfather Zinnatulla. Living together was not easy either for the future writer or for his relatives. No one wanted to have an extra mouth at home, so the grandfather sent his grandson to Kazan where the boy found his adoptive family. Gabdulla’s childlike tranquility did not last long, his adoptive mother and father became ill, and soon they had to bring the child back.
Not surprisingly, no one was waiting for the future great writer in his native village. Therefore, the distraught grandfather did not give up and looked for a place to put the unwanted relative. Gabdulla was taken in by the family of a poor peasant Sagdi who lived in the village of Kyrlai. When the boy was six years old, the dark, dense forests of Kyrlai made a great impression on him. It is here that the famous hero of Tukay, Shurale, will later live.
At the event, students learned about the biography and works of G. Tukay, and then with their own hands made a collage of the image of Shurale.
