On April 22, 2022, the author, Doctor of Historical Sciences, professor, traveler and ethnographer E. A. Burdin presented his new work “Along the banks of the great rivers. A guidebook to the Middle Volga and the lower Kama” in the central library of Bolgar. The residents of Bolgar and the staff of Bolgar Museum-Reserve attended the meeting.
Due to the new book by E.A. Burdin, six settlements of the district claim to become the tourist places. This is really valuable information in the development of domestic tourism.
The participants learned a lot of interesting information about the history of Spassky district and its potential to attract tourists to its historical sites.
The event was attended by the Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of Spassky district E. V. Savinov. He noted that such works allow us to study the history of our native land, and therefore learn our own, native roots.
At the end of the meeting, those who wished could buy a new book by Evgeniy Burdin with his autograph.
