On 21 April 2022, a research associate of the museum-educational department of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Vagapov R. Z. held an interactive museum lesson on “Treasure of ancient Bolgar” for the students of the 7th grade of Bolgar comprehensive school №2.
Bolgar khan met children and walked them to the treasury of ancient Bolgar – the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization where he partly revealed the secrets of medieval town. Kids learned that one of the main treasures of Bolgar is its architectural monuments. Bolgar State Historical-Architectural Museum-Reserve is the world’s northernmost monument of medieval Muslim architecture, a unique example of Bolgar-Tatar architecture of XIII-XIV centuries. During the event, children in interactive way also became acquainted with archaeological treasure of ancient Bolgar.
At the lesson, schoolchildren learned that the main treasures of Bolgar are peace, harmony and mutual respect between the peoples living in this territory since the dawn of time, and that we should keep and increase this heritage of ancestors.
