On 20 April 2022, an exhibition “My belief – my history” will open in the exhibition area of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization. The exhibition is devoted to the history of Islam of peoples of the Volga Region. Among the items, there is a souvenir-layout of a mosque, editions of Koran, things for namaz, clothes, Muslim attributes and jewelry. The exhibition will also introduce you to the examples of “classic” shamails on glass in the traditional technique of painting illuminated with foil.
Each item in the exposition has its own unique history and reflects the development of Islam in the territory of Tatarstan. In these items, there is finesse of East and depth of ancient traditions, the centuries-long path of Islam and rich culture of people for whom it is precious and sacred.
The exhibition will last until May 16, 2022.
