On 26 February 2022, V sporting-historical festival “Winter games – Kysh Batyr 2022” took place in the territory of Bolgar Museum-Reserve. It was held with support from the Charitable Foundation “Tatneft”.
At the grand opening of the festival, the host of the event – Bolgar Khan, Deputy Head of the executive committee on social affairs E. V. Savinov, director of Bolgar Museum-Reserve R. R. Ziganshin, Head of Department of education of Spassky district A. N. Ermilin and Head of Youth, Sports and Tourism Division of the Executive Committee of Spassky district A. N. Valiahmetov welcomed the participants, wished them success, worthy results at the festival and wished the guests of the event good rest and a great mood.
A younger generation aged 12 to 21 years old had an opportunity to feel themselves as Batyr and to test their strength in various competitions. The participants passed eight phases of the competition. Boys and girls answered the questions on the history of Ancient Bolgar, ran 50 meters and hit the target with a spear, threw a sack full of hay to a distance and the puck – into the goal, shot arrows at the target, lift weights and did sit-ups with a yoke. All sporting-historical competitions were based on historical reconstruction of combat and winter games related to the history of Volga Bulgaria. When the participants of the festival passed all phases of competition, they completed their powers with a true Bolgar porridge of warriors. All kids received a charge of vivacity and a lot of positive emotions.
It should be noted that this year, not only the students of Spassky district but also the students of Alkeyevsky district of RT took part in the competition.
At the closing ceremony of the festival, the administration of Bolgar Museum-Reserve thanked Spassky College of sectoral technology for facilitating the festival “Winter games – Kysh Batyr 2022”. Then the winners were announced.
The 1st place among the boys aged 12-14 – Guschin Egor, Bolgar cadets’ boarding school; the 2nd place – Minsafin Emil, Bolgar comprehensive school №1; the 3rd place – Safin Salavat, Bolgar comprehensive school №1 and Khusnutdinov Kamil, a comprehensive school of Bazarniye Mataki of Alkeyevsky district of RT.
The 1st place among the girls aged 12-14 – Minkina Azalia, a comprehensive school of Antonovka; the 2nd place – Giniatullina Regina, Bazarno-Matakskaya gymnasium named after Nabi Dauli; the 3rd place – Haniyeva Taliya, Iske-Ryazyapskaya comprehensive school.
The 1st place among the boys aged 15-17 – Kornilayev Artyom, Bolgar cadets’ boarding school; the 2nd place – Chichulin Igor, Bolgar comprehensive school №1; the 3rd place – Silyutin Maxim, Nikolskaya comprehensive school.
The 1st place among the girls aged 15-17 – Grigoryan Roza, a comprehensive school of Antonovka; the 2nd place – Vafina Ilyuza, Bazarno-Matakskaya gymnasium named after Nabi Dauli; the 3rd place – Yamschikova Angelina, a comprehensive school of Antonovka.
The 1st place among the boys aged 18-21 – Rachkov Anton, a student; the 2nd place – Butorov Egor, Spassky College of sectoral technology.
The 1st place among the girls aged 18-21 – Bedova Angelina, Bolgar comprehensive school №1.
Suleimanova Adelya, a student of Iske-Ryazyapskaya comprehensive school, became an absolute Kysh Batyr.
The winners were awarded diploma and memorable gifts.
