On 15 December 2021, research associates of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Muhametshin J. G. and Muhametshin I. D. held for staff members of the museum a lecture on “Spassk-Kuibyshev – history and modernity”.
Muhametshin J. G. told about a cultural-historical map of Spassky district. This important challenge requires a synthesis of available information on the monuments of Spassky district from ancient times to the present day. These are monuments of history, archaeology and culture, natural monuments and human settlements preserved or disappeared during the flooding. This will allow us to understand better the history of our native land in all its diversity.
Muhametshin I. D. told about a new route “Spassk-Kuibyshev – history and modernity”. The town of Kuibyshev was moved to a new place in 1953-1957. It still keeps the monuments of our past. The audience watched a film about the fate of the old flooded town of Kuibyshev and its residents.
The route presented combines in itself the history of ancient Bolgar, uyezd town of Spassk-Kuibyshev and modern town of Bolgar. Our town is rich in historical events and monuments of history. This route will be interesting both for the guests and for inhabitants of Bolgar.
