On 14 December 2021, a staff member of the Department of Guided Tours Organization of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Glavnova V. N. within the project “Pushkin’s card” held a quest-game “Mysteries of Ancient Bolgar” for the students of Bolgar comprehensive school №1.
According to written sources of East, the town of Bolgar is famous since X century. Volga Bulgaria was one of the largest medieval states of Eastern Europe. It was one of the developed countries of that time with high culture. Many travelers wrote with admiration about the beauty of its capital. Bolgar in historical and cultural understanding contains multi-layered and extensive information. It is a very important spiritual center for our country, which has particular significance for the followers of Islam.
At the event, schoolchildren became familiar with the museum exposition that reveals the history of Volga Bulgaria, learned about archaeological research in the territory of Bolgar hillfort. Kids with great interest participated in an interactive game-quiz “Mysteries of Great Bolgar” during which they showed their knowledge, became part of the historical past of the native land and expanded their horizons. Children got a lot of positive emotions and small souvenirs with the image of architectural monuments of ancient Bolgar painted with their hands during a master class in painting of souvenirs.
