On 12 November 2021, a research associate of the museum and education department of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Krivosheyeva S. V. held an interactive event on “The most interesting things about museums of the world” for the students of the 5th grade of Bolgar sanatorium-type residential school.
During the event, kids knew about the meaning of the word “museum” and learned that hundreds of years ago, people began to collect and keep things that were precious for them – various interesting collections, weapons, books, jewelry etc. Children heard about the most famous and unusual museums of the world. Alexandrovsky Museum in Egypt is considered one of the first museums. It was created in III century BC.
Our Bolgar Museum-Reserve is the world’s northernmost monument of medieval Muslim architecture, unique and the only example of Bolgar-Tatar architecture of the middle of XIII-XIV centuries.
The event ended with a quiz “Museums of the world” in which kids actively participated.
