On 3 November 2021, a staff member of the Department of Guided Tours Organization of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Rogachyova M. N. held an interactive knowledge event on “We are together” for the students of the 3rd and 4th grades of Bolgar comprehensive school №2. The event was devoted to the Day of National Unity.
On 4 November, Russia celebrates the Day of National Unity. For the first time, the holiday was marked on 4 November 2005. This day was established in memory of the events of 1612 when the people’s army of Prince Dmitry Pozharsky and Kuzma Minin liberated Moscow from the Poles.
During the event, children knew about the holiday and historical events connected with it. Kids with great interest talked about friendship of different peoples living in the territory of our large multi-ethnic country and answered the questions of a quiz. Schoolchildren remembered proverbs about friendship and painted a poster devoted to the Russian peoples’ friendship.
At the end, kids acquainted themselves with the exposition of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization, saw many archaeological finds from the ancient Bolgar town and learned that in those early years, different peoples lived in Bolgar and were friends.
