His work presented at the exhibition is made in the painting technique. The picture “The battle for Great Bolgar” sends the viewer back to the past of Tatarstan, to the middle ages. The painting depicts a military action. In the foreground, the khan of Golden Horde calling for hostilities and archers can be seen. This picture was chosen because armament and military affairs of people in Volga Bulgaria during the Middle Ages were a bright and original phenomenon in the history of martial arts of East Europe representing a fusion of some heterogeneous and diverse elements. This is largely due to the geographic location of Volga Bulgaria whose military organization was influenced by military equipment from different regions of Eurasia and developed its own original system of military affairs.
The exhibition will last until November 15, 2021.
