On 15 September 2021, a staff member of the department “Museum Street” of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sagirova G. Yu. held Open Doors Day in the museum of Abdulla Alish. The event was devoted to the writer’ birthday.
On Nazarovyh Street, there is an old house where the Chernikov family, then the Safin family lived. Now it is the museum of our countryman, a writer-patriot Abdulla Alish.
Alish was born on 15 September 1908 in the village Kayuki of Spassky uyezd of Kazan Governorate. Abdulla had an early interest in books and stories. His first publications appeared in 1929, and the author’s first collection “Flag of Pioneers’ Brigade” was published in 1931. A story “At the bright lake”, collections “Waves” and “Mother’s fairytales”, plays “A little prisoner”, “Neighbors” and “Star” entered the gold fund of Tatar literature.
A. Alish participated in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. He was surrounded and taken prisoner. In 1943-1944, he was an active member of anti-fascist underground group of M. Jalil. On 25 August 1944 in Germany, the execution of Alish and his companions took place.
Within the event, the students of the 3rd grade of Bolgar sanatorium-type residential school visited the museum. They became familiar with stories of Abdulla Alish and participated in the theatrical performance of one of the author’s fairytales. Then the students of Bolgar Islamic academy also became acquainted with life and work of our compatriot.
At the end of the event, results of the All-Russian Creative Competition “Our Alish” were summed up.
The competition was held together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Tatarstan. 117 students from 57 educational organizations of 12 regions of Russia took part in it. The participants presented their works remotely in a video. All works impress with their uniqueness, brightness and prowess.
The students of the 4th grade of Tatar-Sugutsky comprehensive school of Batyrevsky district of the Chuvash Republic became the winners. In the museum of Abdulla Alish, a solemn meeting was organized for them. They also had an excursion and received diploma.
