On 21 June 2021, staff members of the museum “Suvar” of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sadrieva N. M. and Pugachyova V. A. held a meeting-action “The candle of memory” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
The head of rural settlement of Kuznechiha Ibragimov R. R. and the head of the museum “Suvar” Sadrieva N. M. spoke at the meeting. They recalled the events connected with the beginning of the Great Patriotic War.
Our sacred duty to the defenders of the Homeland is to remember the tragic days when the war started. It began on 22 June 1941 and lasted long 1418 days and nights. It was the worst and bloodiest war in human history. 27 million people became the victims of that war but it ended with the Victory of our people over fascist invaders. Our country was able to defend its freedom.
The darkest days of June 1941, the days when the war started – these are the days of Grief and Memory. We should always remember them and ensure that the events of the past will not be repeated.
