On 4 June 2021, within the framework of the year of native languages and national unity staff members of the branch “Suvar” of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sadrieva N. M. and Pugachyova V. A. took part in preparing and conducting an event on “In a magical land of Pushkin”.
The event dedicated to the birthday of A. S. Pushkin was held in the form of a quest. A quest helps to provoke easily and discreetly children’s interest in reading classical literary fiction. The students of a summer school camp were the participants of the event. After learning the terms of the game, kids received the route lists and went to fascinating travel on fairytale stations.
At every station, fairytale heroes met the participants: Goldfish, the Scholar Cat, the Shipper-merchant and Arina Rodionovna – the poet’s nanny. Children performed various tasks of the heroes: answered the questions of a quiz, remembered the ends of phrases from stories etc.
Tasks such as “Fix a magic chain”, “Find a proverb in gold nuts” attracted the highest interest and emotions of the children. At the game’s finale, the participants gathered all the clues they needed and made of them the famous saying of A. S. Pushkin about fairytales: “What a treasure these fairytales are! Each of them is a poem!” The event was very bright and merry, dynamic and exciting!
