On 1 June 2021, Bolgar Museum-Reserve implemented an environmental project “Let’s save the life of Lake Britankino” with the use of the grant for social and cultural projects of LLC RITEK of the charitable foundation PJSC LUKOIL for 2020.
As part of the project, pergolas and benches were installed for rest of guests and tourists; fruit trees were planted for the greening of the territory of Lake Britankino. Staff members of the museum-reserve, volunteers from Bolgar educational institutions and the participants of the club “The University of the third age” of Spassky district of RT took part in it.
This has created on the territory of Bolgar Museum-Reserve an additional historical-ecological gravitational pull, which contributes to a wider and more productive cultural entertainment, to the formation of environmental culture of the local community and tourists.
Within the project, in the territory of the museum-reserve swings were installed to create a barrier-free sport and play area for children and teenagers with different opportunities of health. This will help to organize sports and recreation activities for all interested.
