On 17 May 2021, a methodist of the museum and educational department of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sagirova L. Sh. held for tourists a museum lesson on “Calendars of Qayum Nasiri”.
The guests learned about an outstanding Tatar scientist, writer, philosopher, astronomer and philologist. Q. Nasiri compiled and issued the first periodic calendars in Tatar. In 1871, he published in Kazan the first issue of annual calendar in Tatar. This scientist introduced the word “calendar” into the Tatar language. These calendars were called “Kazan calendars”.
The guests of the museum saw the first calendar of Q. Nasiri, which is in the exposition of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization. They also visited the Museum of Koran and architectural monuments of XIII-XIV centuries.
