On 27 April 2021, the head of the museum and educational department of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Hramova G. K. held an interactive knowledge event on “Traditions of Tatar tea party” for the children of Bolgar kindergarten “Rodnichok”.
The ritual of drinking tea entered firmly the life of Tatars. A tea table for them is the soul of a family. This drink is a constant “companion” of any meal. It is a special feature of Tatar cuisine. It is impossible to imagine any holiday without it: a wedding, matchmaking, Sabantuy or the birth of a child.
The participants of the event learned about the origin of tea, its kinds and the peculiarities of Tatar tea party and hospitability. Kids became familiar with a rich collection of samovars and tea utensils. They listened with attention, played riddles, read poems and gathered puzzles. Everyone received sweets and a lot of positive emotions.
