On 20 April 2021, a research associate of the museum and educational department of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Vagapov R. Z. held a museum lesson on “Alexander Nevsky. About the past for the future” for the students of the 8th grade of Bolgar comprehensive school №2.
Alexander Nevsky was the Russian military leader and the greatest statesman of XIII century. He played a bright, progressive role in the life of Russian people. True patriotism, bright talent of statesman and commander, strong will and energy gave Alexander Nevsky an opportunity to end a mortal danger coming to Russia in the face of Livonian knights and Swedish feudal lords.
Multifaceted activities of Alexander Nevsky were pivotal not only for Russian people. He defeated the most powerful military organization – the Livonian Order, a branch of the Teutonic Order. That is how he stopped the spread of aggression of the reactionary Teutonic and Livonian orders on European countries. The countries of Western Europe retained the capacity for self-development. Thus, the activity of Alexander Nevsky had the greatest worldwide historical significance.
During the lesson, schoolchildren became familiar with amazing facts of military and diplomatic biography of the great Russian commander, statesman and diplomat.
