On 17 April 2021, the sixth republican show-competition of kites “Winds of Great Bolgar” took place in the territory of Bolgar Museum-Reserve. Teams from Buinsky, Kukmorsky and Spassky districts of Tatarstan participated in the festival.
The guests of honor were present at the event: deputy head of the Executive Committee of Spassky municipal district E. V. Savinov and the head of division of education A. N. Yermilin.
Before the contest, kids set up their kites, and the audience could see all the beauty of the structures floating in the sky. Children competed in the following nominations: “The most aerodynamic kite”, “The best design”, “Innovative construction”, “The Lord of sky”, “Caravan of kites”.
The works of children amazed with their design and constructive decisions. For example, the participants from Kukmor placed a QR code on their kites. It was possible to scan the code and see a master class in building the aircraft. On the kite from Iske-Ryazayp, children placed an image of a pilot-cosmonaut Yu. A. Gagarin. The kite of Bolgar comprehensive school №2 was keen to go into space – it reached the highest altitude. After the contest, a tour of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization was organized for the participants of the festival.
The event was very lively. In the end, the team from Burakovo was declared the winner. The children’s arts and crafts station “Regata” and the school of Tri Ozera won medal places.
