On 8 April 2021, the republican contest of Tatar culinary “Grandma’s box” took place at the Veterinary College of Buinsk.
A student of Spassky College of sectoral technology Khakimova Ruzana represented our district. In the first part of the contest, the participants had to prepare noodle and kullama. Then they cooked kosh tele, urama and gulbanak.
As homework, our team should have presented the old but loved by everyone Tatar dish – kystybyi. The dish and its presentation attracted great interest among the participants, jury and guests of the contest.
A research associate of museum and educational department of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Vagapov R. Z. took part in the presentation statement. He played a role of Bolgar khan. The contest gave the opportunity to check in practice the results of realization of the educational project “National cuisine is a key to history” implemented jointly by Bolgar Museum-Reserve and Spassky College.
Khakimova Ruzana won the 3rd place in the contest. She was awarded diploma and commemorative gifts.
The aim of this contest was to promote the principles and traditions of Tatar hospitability, forgotten recipes and healthy food, to spread and increase interest in the language, culture and identity of Tatar nation.
