On 3 April 2021, in the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan was held the presentation of almanac “Unknown Volga region” with the works of the winners and participants of a creative contest “Unknown Volga region.3.0” organized by the company “Rostelekom” in the Volga region.
The local history compilation includes creative essays and photos of nature, history and culture of little known parts of the Volga region. Its authors are professional researchers and residents of Russian regions interested in history, culture and traditions of their homeland.
196 applications from 13 regions of Volga Federal District came for the “Rostelekom” contest. Nizhniy Novgorod and Orenburg Oblasts became leaders on the number of unexplored places. Everyone can download an electronic version of the publication.
The almanac includes the work on “Travel into the past” by a research associate of Bolgar Museum-Reserve, the head of the branch “Suvar” of the museum-reserve Sadrieva N. M. who was invited to the presentation. A beautifully decorated almanac and a bag with supplies for tourist trips were given in a festive atmosphere because the theme of the contest “Unknown Volga region” is the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and tourism.
