On 21 December 2020, a staff member of the Department of Guided Tours Organization of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Gaifutdinova O. A. held a lecture on “New Year’s miracle” with elements of a master class for the students of the 8th grade of Bolgar sanatorium-type residential school.
It is winter outside – time of the shortest days and the longest nights. In winter, New Year comes to us and brings a “coniferous” joyful mood of happiness, change and hopes. On New Year holiday, unforgettable meetings occur, our wishes come true, and the most incredible miracles happen.
On New Year’s Day, everyone believes in a fairytale, especially children. They want to touch a miracle more than anyone does. Each of us can become a magician and give children a sense of magic. We do not need a golden cane and magic sleigh. Absolutely all the wonders we can create with our hands by making a little effort and giving much of ourselves.
At the master class, children learned many interesting things about stained drawings and made a bright and beautiful New Year’s ornament in the technique «stained glass painting». At the end of the lecture, kids had a tour of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization, during which they became familiar with the peculiarities of Bulgar glass production and knew about the manufacture of glass in different countries, such as Iran and China.
