On 9 November 2020, in the village Kuznechiha of Spassky municipal district of RT, Memorial Day of the crew of Passenger Jet-40 was marked. The crew died near the village during a plane crash doing a special mission in 1941.
Staff members of the museum “Suvar” Sadrieva N. M. and Pugachyova V. A. placed flowers at the graves of a pilot Sergey Muraviyov and a flight mechanic Konstantin Pryanichnikov and also other participants of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the children of war and workers on the home front. On 18 August 2012, on the day of celebrating the 100th anniversary of Russian air fleet, a marble monument to the crew of PJ-40 was installed thanks to a military commissar of Spassky district of RT I. I. Midhatov, the head of Kuznechiha rural settlement R. R. Ibragimov and the head of the museum “Suvar” N. M. Sadrieva.
Due to a great multi-year work, the searchers managed to find the relatives of the pilot Sergey Muraviyov. Later, his relatives donated to the museum “Suvar” the photographs and documents of S. G. Muraviyov.
Thanks a lot to the searchers who found the family of S. G. Muraviyov – I. G. Prokofiev, N. Y. Kruglova-Dzyuba, Victoria Nestratenko and Sergey Konovalov. A low bow to searchers and all people who helps to preserve this memory.
