On 6 November 2020, a staff member of the Department of Guided Tours Organization of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Mukhamedov V. A. held for the guests of the museum an event on “Parade on the front line” in honor of the parade in Red Square on 7 November 1941.
The parade on 7 November 1941 is one of the most momentous events of the Great Patriotic War. When German fascist troops were already close to Moscow, many believed that capturing the capital was inevitable. Enemy aircraft bombed the city every day but on 7 November, as every year before, the parade in honor of the 24th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution took place. This demonstrated that the leadership of the country believed in soldiers, and they were not going to leave Moscow. The parade showed fearlessness of our warriors who risked being bombed by enemy aircraft on the square. Right after the parade, soldiers went to the front. This event became legendary and boosted the morale of Soviet citizens in the face of the enemy.
During the event, the visitors learned about the background to the Battle of Moscow and the tempo of battle in that region, about the meaning of the parade in Moscow on 7 November 1941 and the consequences of the defeat of German fascist troops near Moscow.
