On 3 November 2020, a staff member of the Department of Guided Tours Organization of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Bitunova Y. A. held a lecture on “National Unity Day” for the students of the 3rd and 4th grades of the school camp of Bolgar Comprehensive School №1.
On 4 November, Russia celebrates a public holiday – National Unity Day. This day holds a special place in the history of our Fatherland, and it is connected with the life-changing events of the Russian state. Its main date of birth is 1612 when Minin and Pozharsky organized people to protect Moscow and all the land of Russia from the Polish invaders.
At the lecture, the students learned about the significant pages of national history when patriotism and citizenship helped our people to defend the country against the invaders, to overcome the time of powerlessness and strengthen the Russian State. To consolidate the knowledge gained, there was a quiz for the participants at the end of the event.
