On 29 October 2020, in the kindergarten of the village Privolzhsky a staff member of the Department of Guided Tours Organization of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Glavnova V. N. held a lecture on “I love my homeland”.
Tatarstan is a multinational republic. Different peoples live here in the atmosphere of friendship and harmony. Our land is a part of a large and beautiful country. Taking care of your native land is caring about your motherland.
Tatarstan is located at the confluence of two largest rivers – Volga and Kama. It serves as a bridge between the European and Asian parts of Russia. The area of the republic is larger than Belgium or the Netherlands and it is approximately equal to Ireland.
What is a homeland? It is a very broad term. It is a town you were born, your yard where you grow up, it is your family – father and mother, sisters and brothers. Maybe it is a river where you had a swim first time or a forest where there are trees and flowers and birds sing. But we all living on the territory of the republic have one motherland – a large and wonderful Republic of Tatarstan.
At the lecture, children became familiar with the history of the republic, its sights, traditions and customs of nations living in the territory of our homeland. The kids saw a presentation “Nature of the native land” and a geographic map of Tatarstan, learned about the works of writers and poets of the republic and knew about the history of the main state symbols. The participants listened with great interest to the legends and facts from the history of the region, actively answered the questions of a quiz and took part in a practical exercise – folded the flag of Tatarstan from the stripes of colored paper.
At the end of the event, children listened to the anthem of the Republic of Tatarstan.
