On 16 October 2020, a research associate of the museum and educational department of Bolgar Museum-Reserve S. V. Krivosheyeva held a knowledge lecture on “The pilots of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945” for the students of the 4th grade of Bolgar sanatorium-type residential school.
Like flying vehicles, pilots are divided into military and civilian. Their kind of activity is consistent with this distinction.
A pilot is one of the heroic professions, and it does not matter what means of transportation he uses to do great deeds – a helicopter or a plane. Maybe the images of heroes of boys and young men changed in our time but it would be helpful to go back to the past once again and see the faces of real heroes.
After hearing the lecture, children learned about the pilots’ feats during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. They became acquainted with the epoch when heroes lived devoting their life to people of that time and of our day.
