On 2 October 2020, staff members of the department “Museum Street” of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sagirova G., Alekseeva T. and the head of museum and educational department of the museum-reserve Vagapov R. Z. held an interactive event on “The autumn of life” for the veterans of Burakovskoye rural settlement of Spassky municipal district of RT. This activity was devoted to the International Day of Older Persons.
The tour route included four thematic museums of ethnographic complex. In the museum “The nobility of Spassky uyezd”, the guests had an excursion about the emergence of noble families in the Volga region and in Spassky uyezd. In the museum “The town on the river”, the visitors became familiar with the history of the emergence of old uyezd town Spassk and knew about famous merchant dynasties. In the museum of Abdulla Alish, the veterans heard about the life and works of well-known Tatar children’s author and our compatriot, learned of his feat during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. At the end of the tour, the guests visited the museum “Bolgar tea party” where they found out about the history of the development of samovar products and national traditions of tea party of peoples in the Volga region. The event concluded with a master class “Bal-mai”. After that, there was a tea party with national Tatar treats. Staff members of Bolgar Museum-Reserve gave the guests joy and good mood, provided them an opportunity to feel young, to feel the care and attention of others.
