On 1 October 2020, staff members of the department “Museum Street” of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sagirova G. and Alekseeva T. held for veterans of the club “Ak kalfak” an event on “The history of Turk writing and the founders of Turk literature and poetry” dedicated to the International Day of Older Persons.
During the event, the guests became familiar with the open-air museum devoted to the history of Turk and Bolgar written language and the monuments of ancient architecture. The visitors learned about the works of well-known Turk poets of the medieval world, the works of Tatar poets and writers, heard about famous rulers of Bolgar, Kazan and the Golden Horde whose names are directly linked to the ancient town of Bolgar. The participants of the event visited Gabdrakhman’s well where they knew an ancient legend about the source. At this activity, it was told about interesting historical finds found on the territory of Bolgar town.
At the end of the event, the guests had a master class “Bal-mai” and deep talks over a cup of tea with pancakes.
