On 30 August 2020, in the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization a staff member of the Department of Guided Tours Organization of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Galimullina N. R. held offline an event on “Hospitable Tatarstan” in conjunction with Republic Day and Kazan City Day. The purpose of this event was to learn the world, to understand and preserve historical and cultural memory.
The residents of the republic celebrate Establishment Day of Tatarstan on 30 August because it is timed to coincide with the adoption of Declaration on State Sovereignty of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Supreme Soviet of Tatarstan approved this document on the penultimate day of summer 1990. A year later, the date became a holiday. Citizens actively celebrate the day of establishment of their home republic. Everywhere – in cities, villages and in the capital of Tatarstan – Kazan, mass events take place. Not merely the indigenous population but also residents of other nationalities and numerous guests cherish and love this holiday.
During the event, the audience knew the history of emergence of the holiday, became acquainted with Tatar culture, national culinary customs and traditions of hospitability.
