On 26 August 2020, Bolgar took over the republican flag relay of the 100th anniversary of TASSR. The flag relay organized in preparation for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the republic is a collaborative project of the Directorate of sports and social projects and the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars.
The celebration of passing of the flag relay took place in Bolgar Museum-Reserve near the museum-exhibition complex “The Memorial Sign in honor of adoption of Islam”. Deputy Head of Spassky municipal district of RT S. I. Tyunyov attached to the flag a patch with the emblem of the district. He congratulated the guests of the holiday and said that residents of the district witnessed an important historical event.
As part of the event, S. I. Tyunyov gave a certificate “The 100th anniversary of Tatar ASSR” to the director of Bolgar Museum-Reserve R. R. Ziganshin.
Amateur artists of the district performed in front of the guests.
