On 18 June 2020, in the exhibition area of the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization, there will be the opening of the exhibit “Holy memory of past days” devoted to the Day of Memory and Mourning – the day of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. On that day, 22 June 1941, German fascist troops crossed into USSR. One of the bloodiest wars in the history of humanity began.
The exposition has photocopies, a text of the Vice-Chairman of the Council of People’s Commissars of USSR and People’s Commissar for Foreign Affairs V. M. Molotov, photos of the events of the first days of the war, things and household items from the funds of Bolgar Museum-Reserve.
A war is anger, fear, death and grief. A great trial for our people began 75 years ago – a war called the Great Patriotic. The exhibition tells about the history of the day, which forever changed the lives of tens of millions of people.
