On 10 June 2020, the head of museum and educational department of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Vagapov R. Z. held a video class on the theme “Bolgar tea” in the museum “Bolgar tea party”.
There is hardly a man in Tatarstan, who is not familiar with this traditional habitual drink highly valued by adults and children. In all seasons, when it is extremely cold or unbearably hot, we need a cup of fragrant tea strengthening our spirit and softening our hearts, relieving fatigue and evoking thoughts, chasing away laziness and refreshing a body.
The audience had the opportunity to take a tour into the history of the appearance of tea in the region, became acquainted with rich traditions of tea party of Tatar people – the descendants of Volga Bulgars. At the end of the event, one of old-time recipes for preparing Bolgar tea was demonstrated.
