On 1 June 2020, the opening of the exhibit of children’s drawings “The magic world of childhood” devoted to International Children’s Day will take place in the Museum of Bulgarian Civilization. More than 30 countries of the world celebrate this holiday annually since 1950. It is one of the oldest international holidays.
Currently, the holiday has its own flag. There is a symbol of the Earth on a green background in the middle of the flag. The earth sign is surrounded by stylized colorful human figures. These figures symbolize diversity and tolerance. The Earth sign is a symbol of our planet.
The exhibition will be held online. It will include the drawings of the students of Bolgar Children’s Art School. The kids using paints tried to depict the world as they see it because a child’s drawing reflects his inner world like a mirror.
International Children’s Day is not only one of the happiest holidays for children. It reminds adults that they are responsible for children because kids need a constant care and protection.
