On 3 March 2020, a methodist of the museum and educational department of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Sagirova L. Sh. held an interactive lesson “Grandma’s box” for the students of the 8th grades of Bolgar Comprehensive School №1.
This event took place at school museum where the kids learned about the differences of Tatar and Russian huts, looked with interest at the interior of Tatar house. At the lesson, there was talk of Tatar embroidery. Towels embroidered by skilled hands of quillwork girls and different decorations for the house (for walls, beds and tables) were taken out of grandma’s box. The students got informed about every item. They knew what colors are used more often for embroidery of such beautiful and original national articles and what kinds of embroidery exist. During the event, the children actively asked questions and received answers to them.
