On 27 February 2020, a staff member of the Department of Guided Tours Organization of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Glavnova V. N. held an interactive event entitled “Architecture of Volga Bulgaria” for the students of the 5th grade of Bolgar special boarding school for children with limited opportunities.
The study of the architecture of Volga Bulgaria is of great importance because the state played a significant role in the development of architectural appearance of modern cities located in its territory. Therefore, without awareness of architecture of Volga Bulgaria the advantages of cities in which we live cannot be fully understood.
During the event, the kids became acquainted with the history of emergence of Volga Bulgaria and architectural monuments of the museum-reserve, listened to the legends about the medieval town and saw a presentation entitled “Architecture is a record of the world too”. The students answered the questions on the subject, in the form of games recognized the names of medieval objects and took part in a quiz “Ancient Bolgar is a World Heritage Site”. The children had a lot of bright impressions, photos and presents to remember the event.
