On 29 January 2020, in Bolgar Children’s Art School a research associate of Bolgar Museum-Reserve Vagapov R. M. held a lecture on “The Battle of Stalingrad” devoted to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. At the lecture, children listened to a story about a Hero of the Soviet Union Berkutov A. M. – a child from Kuralovo Children’s home of Kuibyshev District of TASSR who was a participant of these epoch-making events in the history of the country and the world. During the story, children knew about tragic and hard times of the fierce battle and could feel how native culture helped in fight against a great enemy.
In the concert program, front-line songs of that time were played on the balalaika. These songs inspired our grandparents and forefathers to protect the Fatherland.
