On December 12, 2019 the employee of the Department of organization of excursions of the Bulgarian Museum-reserve Sabirzyanova L. I. for pupils of the 7th class of GBOU “Bulgarian cadet boarding school” named after Karpov Pavel Alekseevich gave a lecture “Winter entertainments”.
In Russia, like any other people, the games were loved at all times – they were truly massive in nature, differed in a huge variety. Games were girls ‘ and men’s, mobile and not, and in them participated all from small until great.
Games reflected the spirit of the people, its history and occupied an important place in people’s lives. They were not only entertainment, games contributed to the lively communication of people and remained the main means of physical education, developing strength, agility, speed, accuracy and other qualities.
The word ” fun “among the Slavs was not quite “entertainment” sense, but a broader one: “mass event”. Winter has long been a time of entertainment and fun in Russia: all seasonal field work was completed, and there was more free time, so young people invented different ways to have fun and please everyone else.
During the lecture, the children learned about the games played by our ancestors, the importance and necessity of sports for physical education, as well as talked about modern games and sports. At the end of the lecture, students took an active part in the quiz.
