On December 9, 2019, the employee of the Bulgarian Museum-reserve Kabirova G. H. gave a lecture “Stepping into immortality” for the pupils of the Bulgarian boarding school for children with disabilities. During the conversation, the guys learned about the emergence of the organization “Young guard”, its commanders and members.
“Young guard” is a Soviet underground anti-fascist Komsomol youth organization of young men and girls, which operated during the great Patriotic war of 1941-1945. Its history is an amazing combination of martyrdom, mutual assistance, resourcefulness, fantastic luck and tragedy. The heroic history of the underground organization of Krasnodon boys and girls who fought the Nazis and laid down their heads in this struggle was known to every Soviet person. Now this story is remembered much less often…
