3 December 2019 at the Department of Bulgarian tour of the Museum-reserve of A. R. Abdrakhmanova for students 7 and class MBOU “Bulgarian school №2” was held educational and Patriotic activity “To remember”, dedicated to the Memorable date of Russia – the Day of the Unknown soldier.
The day of the Unknown soldier is celebrated annually on December 3 since 2014 in memory of Russian and Soviet soldiers who died in hostilities in the country or abroad. This date was chosen because on this day, in 1966, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the defeat of German troops near Moscow, the ashes of the unknown soldier were transferred from a mass grave on the 41st kilometer of the Leningrad highway (at the entrance to the city of Zelenograd) and solemnly buried at the wall of the Moscow Kremlin in the Alexander garden.
Who is he? We do not know his name: he died on the outskirts of Moscow in severe 1941.on the tombstone there is a bronze composition — a soldier’s helmet and a Laurel branch lying on the battle flag. In the left part of the memorial there is a wall with the names of cities of military glory. In the center of the memorial is a niche with the inscription: “your Name is unknown, your feat is immortal.” The Grand opening of the monument took place on the eve of Victory Day in 1967.
For Russia, the celebration of the day of the Unknown soldier is especially important, because such a number of missing soldiers, as in the USSR, was not in any country. Day of the Unknown soldier-a date that unites all missing during wars and military conflicts (World war I, WWII, Afghan war, Chechen war). Every year, the remains of many thousands of soldiers who died in the war are found in our country. Only a small fraction of this amount is identified.
During the event, students learned about the history of the celebration of the day of the Unknown soldier, with the help of a presentation and a video learned about the history of the memorial complex “Grave of the Unknown soldier” in Moscow.
Children listened attentively to information on a subject, actively answered questions, and also shared the opinion that in the Spassky municipal area of RT also it would be quite good to create a monument to the Unknown soldier, after all the number of the dead and missing soldiers during the great Patriotic war of 1941-1945 from our area reaches more than 5 thousand people.
In the class, the students read letters to the unknown soldier and, after thinking a little, expressed thoughts about what they themselves said or would write to those unknown soldiers who remained in the war, not buried in separate graves. At the end of the event, students honored the memory of our compatriots who died in the fighting with a minute of silence.
