2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Bulgarian state historical and architectural Museum-reserve.
As part of the anniversary events, on September 27, 2019 in the Bulgarian Museum-reserve, the all-Russian scientific and practical conference “the Great Bulgarian – civilization on the Volga”was held. The opening took place in the conference hall of the memorial In honor of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgars in 922. With a salutatory word to guests and participants addressed the Deputy Minister of culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Dmitry Latfullin, also welcomed the participants of the conference, the Head of Spassky municipal district of Tatarstan F. V. Mukhametov, Director of the Bulgarian state historical-architectural Museum-reserve R. R. Ziganshin, Director of GBUK RT “Bilyarsk state historical and archaeological and natural Museum-reserve” A. A. kutuev, Deputy Chairman of RT Committee for the protection of cultural heritage S. G. Persova, Deputy General Director of the national Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan for research Work S. Yu. Izmailova, Director of the Chistopol state historical, architectural and literary Museum-reserve A. V. Pechenkin. Congratulations were made by representatives of the Museum-reserve “Kazan Kremlin” and Elabuga state Museum-reserve.
Participants of the conference – scientists, graduate students, researchers, employees of the state Museum-reserves and municipal museums of local lore, University professors, teachers and historians. They are interested, not indifferent to the history and preservation of cultural heritage people engaged in the study of archaeological sites, Ethnography, history, local history and Museum business. At the conference there were two sections: “Medieval archaeology “and”Numismatics, epigraphy and museums”. The conference heard 38 reports in the following areas: medieval archaeology and numismatics, Museum construction and local history, source studies and preservation of spiritual values and traditions of the Tatar people. This conference provided an opportunity to communicate with each other, to Express new developments, discuss them and make decisions that will be useful in future work.
A gala dinner was held at the end of the conference.
According to the adopted resolution, it was noted that the Bulgarian Museum-reserve has become a good platform for holding various events at the national and National level, including scientific symposia and various schools for the exchange of experience. It was also decided to plan next year to hold a discussion in the framework of the scientific and practical conference on the protection of cultural heritage and the development of museums and tourism, in particular in the Western Zakamye.
