September 21, 2019 for tourists from Voronezh employee of the Department of organization of excursions of the Bulgarian Museum-reserve Sabirzyanova Li held an event “we have one sky over your head”, dedicated to the International day of peace.
The international day of peace dates back to 1981. The event was established by the United Nations General Assembly. Initially, it was celebrated annually on the day of the UN session (the third Tuesday in September of each year), but in 2001 the official date was chosen as 21 September.
The celebration is of great importance for all mankind. History shows that every 100-150 years in the world there is a large-scale war in which many States are drawn. And local conflicts almost never stop: there are always small wars that take lives. War is not only the horror of today, but also a big minus for our future. Every time after large-scale conflicts, humanity takes a significant step back, because we have to restore a lot, and not go forward. That is why the international day of peace, which is designed to convey to people the danger of war, is so important for modern man.
During the event, tourists learned about the history of the holiday, how it is celebrated in Russia and other countries. The guests also visited the Museum of Bulgarian civilization, got acquainted with its exposition and saw the preserved monuments of architecture.
