On April 18, 2019 at the exhibition site of the Museum of Bulgarian civilization the opening of the photo exhibition “Formation of protection of monuments of cultural history in Tatarstan. Bulgarian state historical and architectural Museum-reserve”. The photo exhibition is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Museum-reserve.
Bulgarian Museum-reserve was founded in 1969, is an object of historical and cultural heritage of the Republic of Tatarstan. On the territory of the Bulgarian Museum-reserve there are monuments of architecture of XIII-XIV centuries: Cathedral mosque, Great minaret, Northern and Eastern mausoleums, Khan’s Palace, Khan’s tomb and Small minaret, Eastern, White and Black chambers, Small town, monument of architecture of XVIII century – Church of the assumption.
In 2014, the Bulgarian historical and archaeological complex was included in the UNESCO world heritage List and became the 1002nd object.
A. N. Faskhutdinov, Deputy Director for science, addressed the visitors with a welcoming speech.. In his speech, he drew attention to the importance of the role of the Museum staff in the preservation of cultural and architectural heritage of the Bulgarian civilization, remembered the names of those people who stood at the origins of the Museum-reserve.
The photo exhibition introduced visitors to the main stages of the history of preservation of historical and cultural monuments of Bolgar — from the decree of Peter I on the preservation of Bulgarian ruins to the activities of the Republican Fund for the revival of historical and cultural monuments of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The opening of the exhibition was attended by the staff of the Museum-reserve.
