On 31 March 2019, a delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) visited the Bulgarian Museum-reserve. The representative delegation of the UAE was headed by the Chairman of the world Council of Muslim communities Ali Rashid al Nuaimi. During the three-day visit to the Republic of Tatarstan, guests had time to get acquainted with the Museum of Bulgarian civilization, a Memorial sign. The first object, which was examined by the Chairman of the world Council of Muslim communities, was the complex “White mosque”. Then Ali Rashid al Nuaimi and his colleagues inspected the building of the Bulgarian Islamic Academy.
Dr. al Nuaimi holds a doctorate in education From the University of Imam Mohammed bin Saud of Saudi Arabia; a master’s and bachelor’s degree in education from Portland state University of the United States. He served as rector of the University of the United Arab Emirates and Chairman of the Department of education and knowledge of Abu Dhabi. He was a member of the Executive Board of the government of Abu Dhabi (member of the Government).
Since December 2012, Chairman of the Steering Board Of the international center “Hedaya” to counter violent extremism (since its inception). He has been Secretary General of the Muslim Council of elders since its establishment in July 2014 in Abu Dhabi. Dr. al Nuaimi is one of the founders of the Forum to promote peace in Muslim communities, which annually brings together Muslim scholars, intellectuals and leading thinkers from around the world to discuss topics to reduce hatred among peoples and explain to the world that Islam is a religion of peace and justice
